I don’t know about you, but the voice in my head can get a little crazy this time of the year. It can be challenging to keep track of all the things that need to be done around the holidays. Plus, it always feels like there is a lot to contemplate as we transition from one year to the next. As I go through my day, it’s as if my mind is only half there. One half is focusing on the task at hand and the other half is thinking about the next task or stressing about something I can’t control.
It’s hard to catch a break. I feel a bit like I’m living in a constant state of restlessness. The past couple of months have been especially busy as I work to finish my book, develop new program offerings, and explore a new job option after someone reached out to me about an opening. All this on top of cleaning, prepping, and planning for the holiday festivities. Don’t get me wrong – I love the holidays and all the exciting changes, but it can feel more than a bit chaotic at times.
So, it is for this reason that I am grateful for showers.
You see, showers offer a chance to step away from the craziness. They give you a reason to excuse yourself from life’s constant shuffle. And, without all the distractions and to-dos, you can do some of your best thinking there.
I’m a huge proponent of taking some quiet time every day to center yourself. It can have surprisingly huge benefits, which I share in today’s video. However, I know we don’t always have time to meditate during the day. So, as a relatively decent replacement, we can turn to showers as our sanctuary.
Tune into today’s video to learn how you can transform your shower routine into a method for cleansing your soul!
