With this being the week of all things scary,
With goblins and ghouls and monsters so hairy,
I thought to myself, “Why not post a blog
On a topic so creepy it could come in a fog?”
It’s the one that is likely to give us great fright,
One that can haunt us from day through the night.
It doesn’t hide in the closet or under the bed;
It’s one that will actually hide in our head.
So what could this thing most scary now be,
If not spider, nor ghost, nor spooky banshee?
It cannot be a witch with her blackest of cats,
And we know it’s not even a colony of bats.
No, it’s not any of those scary things at all.
In fact it’s quite scarier, though so thin and small.
It’s the thing in your pockets, your purse, your bank.
Have an idea yet, or still drawing a blank?
Okay, my friend, I will give it to you straight.
Otherwise the poem won’t end at this rate.
This big scary thing I’ve been going on about?
It’s money, my friend. Money and all its clout.
Tune in to this video to learn how we can
Befriend this ‘money’ so it will be our point man
In bringing us joy, much happiness and love
And all the good things we’ve been promised from above!
